Baseball Recap: Savio Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Savio hadn't done well against Antonian Prep recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Apaches a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since February 7th.

Savio is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Antonian Prep, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9-1.

Antonian Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-0 defeat against Central Catholic on the 2nd. Hopefully Savio payed attention to the Apaches' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Apaches at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st.
