Baseball Game Preview: Marshfield Rams vs. Norwell Clippers

The Marshfield Rams will head out to square off against the Norwell Clippers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshfield is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Marshfield and Dennis-Yarmouth Regional, and Dennis-Yarmouth Regional kept the tradition alive. The Rams fell just short of the Dolphins by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Norwell hadn't done well against Abington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Clippers blew past the Green Wave 9-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Clippers.

Norwell's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Marshfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
