 Saranac came tearing into  Friday's  contest with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   7-4  win over the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Saranac also won the last time the pair played  last Wednesday.
 The team  relied heavily on  Landon Giroux, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Zack Lucia, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Saranac pushed their record up to 7-2 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. As for Northeastern Clinton,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-6.
 Saranac will head out on the road to  face off against  Franklin Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Franklin Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7  runs per game  this season. As for Northeastern Clinton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  15-10  win vs. Lake Placid on the 27th.
