            Softball Recap: Forest Lake Rangers vs. Irondale Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Forest Lake put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with  a   4-1  victory over the Irondale Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Rangers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

 Annika Antonson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.5  strikeouts per game.
 At the plate, Forest Lake let  Greta Stanek and  Francie Gregor run wild. Stanek  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double, while  Gregor  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those  stolen bases marked the first that  Gregor  snagged this season.
Forest Lake pushed their record up to 6-0 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Irondale,  they are  on  a  27-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
 Coming up, Forest Lake will venture away from home to  take on Woodbury  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Irondale, they will square off against Park at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
