Football Game Preview: Neumann Celtics vs. Community School of Naples Seahawks

Neumann is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will venture away from home to face off against the Community School of Naples Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Neumann 10, Community School of Naples 7.8) so any points scored will be well earned.

Neumann's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Louvens Bazile, who rushed for 138 yards and two scores. With that strong performance, Bazile is now averaging an impressive 100.8 rushing yards per game. Peyton Frontino was another key player, having thrown for 259 yards and onetouchdown.

Meanwhile, Community School of Naples blew past Calvary Christian, posting a 38-10 win.

Neumann better keep an eye on Jayvian Tanelus. He was instrumental in Community School of Naples' win, rushing for 257 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Those 257 rushing yards gave Tanelus a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden DiLoreto, who threw for 143 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Community School of Naples was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 331 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Calvary Christian only rushed for 100.

Neumann's record is now 4-1. As for Community School of Naples, their record now sits at 3-1.

Neumann was dealt a bruising 63-14 loss at the hands of Community School of Naples when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Tanelus, who rushed for 228 yards and five scores on only 12 carries.
