Basketball Recap: Leetonia Comes Up Short

Leetonia lost against Southern back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Leetonia Bears were dealt a 52-18 loss at the hands of the Southern Indians.

Leetonia dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Southern, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leetonia won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern, they will square off against Columbiana at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Columbiana's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
