Baseball Recap: Anniston Comes Up Short

Anniston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Faith Christian Lions, falling 9-3. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Dylan Goodson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Anniston's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Faith Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anniston will square off against Central of Coosa County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Faith Christian, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions duke it out with the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
