Baseball Recap: Kenston Triumphs

Kenston lost to Chardon on Monday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Bombers came out on top against the Hilltoppers by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bombers.

Bryan Kuchta spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Kenston is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Flynn, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Tristan Pattie also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Kenston's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Chardon, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenston will take on Avon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chardon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal Mooney at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
