Volleyball Recap: Oak Ridge Gets the Win

Oak Ridge's tournament run continued when they took on Licking on Saturday. The Blue Jays walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wildcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Jays.

Kaelyn Deckerd paced Oak Ridge's offense, picking up eight kills. Deckerd got some help from Kenadie Ward and her 15 assists. Kinsley Bogenpohl controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Oak Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-2-1. As for Licking, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Oak Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bell City on the 13th. Licking has also already played their next game (against Willow Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
