Volleyball Recap: Cesar E. Chavez Comes Up Short

Cesar E. Chavez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Lamar Texans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Texans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-16.

Cesar E. Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lamar, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Cesar E. Chavez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Bellaire on the 14th. As for Lamar, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Heights on the 14th.
