Volleyball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Genoa Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Madison Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Madison Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Genoa Christian Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 26-24.

Siena Swartz paced Genoa Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Swartz got some help from Claire Mitchell and her 23 assists. Reagan Schuck controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Genoa Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Madison Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

While Genoa Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
