Volleyball Recap: Minooka Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Minooka had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Plainfield South Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Minooka won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24.

Cameron Garcia paced Minooka's offense, picking up 12 kills. Garcia got some help from Kendall Kozak and her six assists.

Minooka's win bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Plainfield South, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Minooka will take on rival Plainfield North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Plainfield South is set to face off against their familiar foe Romeoville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
