The Boiling Springs Bubblers will challenge the Shippensburg Greyhounds at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Boiling Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Boiling Springs made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Perry, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bubblers never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bubblers, who have now won three matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Matt Wilson looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Boiling Springs is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Mason Labuda was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Josh Snyder was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Shippensburg's offense. They lost 6-0 to Manheim Township on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Greyhounds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Boiling Springs now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Shippensburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

Boiling Springs came up short against Shippensburg in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 5-0. Can the Bubblers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
