Baseball Recap: Belen Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Belen barely beat Portales the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Belen blew past Portales 18-1 on Thursday. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Belen's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Portales, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
