Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Central's Third in Last Four Outings

Central won against Hope on Thursday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Knights beat the Times Squared Academy Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-8. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by ten runs or more this season.

Jayleen White was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and one double. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. Danna Garcia was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They are 10-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Times Squared Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Central nor Times Squared Academy have any future games scheduled.
