Basketball Recap: Sierra Linda Takes a Loss

Sierra Linda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 69-57 to the Goldwater Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Sierra Linda of the 51-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Sierra Linda still got an impressive performance from Elie Iranzi, who posted 27 points. Another player making a difference was Jonte Pulliam, who earned 11 points.

Sierra Linda's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Goldwater, the win snapped their losing streak at 11 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.

Sierra Linda wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-35 victory against San Luis on the 12th. As for Goldwater, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-53 defeat against Combs on the 6th.
