Baseball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to Christian School of York. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Christian School of York this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 on Thursday.

Eddie Eichenlaub made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Vaughn Lewis also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Christian School of York, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Fairfield will square off against Shalom Christian Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christian School of York, they will venture away from home to challenge Mount Calvary Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Chargers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
