Basketball Recap: Montezuma Beats North Mahaska for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Montezuma waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 53-45 win over the North Mahaska Warhawks. This was a revenge game for the Braves: when they faced off against the Warhawks back in November of 2024, they had to take a 51-32 loss.

Montezuma pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for North Mahaska, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.
