Basketball Recap: Simpson Comes Up Short

Simpson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 69-27 loss at the hands of the Negreet Indians. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Indians are ranked 92nd).

Simpson's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Negreet, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simpson will challenge Holy Savior Menard at 5:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Negreet, they will square off against Florien at 5:00 p.m. on January 16th.
