Flintridge Sacred Heart posted their closest victory since September 14, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past the San Marino Titans 3-2. The Tologs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-104) Flintridge Sacred Heart actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 27-25, 23-25, 14-25, 25-23, 15-9.

San Marino's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ariminty Yu, who had 37 digs and three assists, and Cynthia Kackstetter, who had 14 digs and four aces. Yu has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 28 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Makayla Wong, who had 11 digs and two aces.

The win got Flintridge Sacred Heart back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Flintridge Sacred Heart will face off against Burbank at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for San Marino, they will take on Notre Dame (SO) at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
