Baseball Recap: Easthampton/Hampshire Comes Up Short

Easthampton/Hampshire lost against Frontier Regional two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Red Hawks by a score of 7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly two runs.

Easthampton/Hampshire saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Larson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those RBI were Larson's first of the season.

Easthampton/Hampshire has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Frontier Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Easthampton/Hampshire will venture away from home to challenge Holyoke at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Frontier Regional, they will head out to face off against Mahar Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
