Sulligent had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 41-27 win over the Hubbertville Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Karlee Pollard and Georgia Gardner certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Pollard posted eight points, while Gardner put up 11 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Pollard now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. Jenna Kay Hollis also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Sulligent's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hubbertville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2.

Coming up, Sulligent will head out on the road to square off against Red Bay at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Hubbertville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-34 loss against Sumiton Christian on the 9th.
