Football Recap: Calvary Christian Starts off Right with Win over Terrell County

Calvary Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Terrell County Greenwave to the tune of 48-6 on Friday. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 12-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Braxton Wilkinson was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 404 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.5 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 30 yards and one score. A healthy portion of Wilkinson's aerial production (86 yards to be exact) went to King Hinton, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mount de Sales Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Terrell County, they will welcome Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
