Baseball Recap: Palmer Panthers vs. Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles
Palmer had lost five straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-13 to make it six. They lost 12-2 to the Easthampton/Hampshire Eagles. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Palmer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Mayberry, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one stolen base. Mayberry is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Liam McKee also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
As for Easthampton/Hampshire, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games.
On Easthampton/Hampshire's side, Patrick Larson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Larson a new career-high. Jason Sigda was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmer will square off against Granby at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Easthampton/Hampshire, they will face off against Pioneer Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
