Basketball Game Preview: Lanier Longhorns vs. Johns Creek Gladiators + Official Tickets

The Lanier Longhorns will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Johns Creek Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lanier's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Lanier is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Roswell just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets.

Meanwhile, Johns Creek came tearing into last Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 58-54 W against the Bulldogs.

Johns Creek's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Lanier, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Everything went Lanier's way against Johns Creek in their previous meeting back in February, as Lanier made off with an 84-63 victory. Do the Longhorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gladiators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
