Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Ravenswood

Ravenswood won the last time they faced Point Pleasant and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Big Blacks. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 29, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Ravenswood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-16, 25-11.

Ravenswood's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 33-12. As for Point Pleasant, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-18-1.

Coincidentally, Ravenswood and Point Pleasant will both be playing Sissonville the next time they take the court. The Red Devils will head out to face the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Big Blacks will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
