Basketball Recap: Burke Bulldogs vs. Fremont Tigers
Burke lost against Fremont back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Burke Bulldogs took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fremont Tigers.

Despite the loss, Burke still got an impressive performance from Ryan Rummel, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. Rummel has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Marcus Buchanan was another key player, putting up 11 points.
Fremont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zach Keaton, who posted 15 points and six boards. Caden Ristau also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.
Burke now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Fremont, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Burke and Omaha Northwest will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Omaha Northwest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for Fremont, they will venture away from home to challenge Kearney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Kearney's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Fremont has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
