Basketball Game Preview: Gouverneur Wildcats vs. Beekmantown Eagles

The Gouverneur Wildcats will take on the Beekmantown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Gouverneur came up short against Ogdensburg Free Academy and fell 60-48. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Raine Rumble put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 23 points. That was a full 47.9% of Gouverneur's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Kaleb Platt was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Beekmantown earned a 58-45 victory over Northeastern Clinton on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Beekmantown's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Gouverneur, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
