Baseball Game Preview: Marshfield Rams vs. Hanover Hawks

Marshfield hasn't had much luck against Hanover recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams will venture away from home to take on the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Marshfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Marshfield made easy work of Plymouth North and carried off an 8-1 win. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly seven runs.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Hanover and Plymouth North had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hawks fell just short of the Blue Eagles by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hawks have suffered since May 19, 2025.

Brody Noonan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Will Davidson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

The victory got Marshfield back to even at 5-5. As for Hanover, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Marshfield might still be hurting after the 14-5 loss they got from Hanover in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
