Basketball Game Preview: Norte Vista Braves vs. Jurupa Valley Jaguars

Norte Vista hasn't had much luck against Jurupa Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Norte Vista Braves will challenge the Jurupa Valley Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Norte Vista's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

Norte Vista is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing La Sierra: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Norte Vista blew La Sierra out of the water with an 87-27 final score. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Norte Vista's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryan Ramirez, who went 10 of 16 on his way to 23 points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Ramirez a new career-high. Carter Fulton was another key player, going 10 for 19 en route to 23 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Jurupa Valley came up short against Patriot on Thursday and fell 75-63. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jurupa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Norte Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Norte Vista was dealt a bruising 76-35 loss at the hands of Jurupa Valley when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Can Norte Vista avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
