While Quitman put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Hicks. Quitman put the hurt on Hicks with a sharp 11-0 win. Considering the Wolverines have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cali Deal was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Deal was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Zoee Williams was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had over her last seven matches. Maggie Guyotte was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Quitman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hicks only posted an OBP of .136.

Quitman's record now sits at 15-4. As for Hicks, with the loss, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-3.

Coming up, Quitman will take on North DeSoto at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. North DeSoto's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Quitman's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hicks, they will square off against Minden at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Minden has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.59 runs per game on average), something Hicks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
