Basketball Recap: Trinity Victorious

Trinity hadn't done well against Gilmour Academy recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Trinity Trojans pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over the Gilmour Academy Lancers. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 53-25 victory the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Trinity's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nevaeh Harrison, who posted 15 points and five boards. That's the most points Harrison has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Iniya Charlton, who had seven points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Gilmour Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.

Trinity will challenge Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Trinity is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.9 points per game this season. Gilmour Academy has already played their next match (against Laurel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
