After a string of five wins, White Pine's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They fell just short of the Lincoln County Lynx by a score of  16-15. Bobcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lynx since  on Friday.
  Daniel Highline stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  doubles (two).  Tucker Maestes was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances.
White Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Lincoln County, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record  this season.
 White Pine will challenge Wells at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Wells will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  win, something White Pine surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln County, they will square off against Needles at 11:00  a.m.  on Friday. Lincoln County will need to watch out since Needles has now posted at least ten  runs  in their last four contests.
