Basketball Recap: Lithonia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lithonia suffered their biggest defeat since February 4th on Tuesday. They lost 76-52 to the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Golden Lions: they've now lost nine in a row.

Lithonia's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-6. As for St. Pius X Catholic, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lithonia will face off against North Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they will square off against Marist at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Lions will be up against the War Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
