Basketball Recap: Bridgeport Takes a Loss

Bridgeport lost against Tuscarawas Central Catholic back in February of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bridgeport Bulldogs lost 47-21 to the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elena Price, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Those 17 points gave Price a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Miya Olson, who posted seven points along with 14 rebounds and four steals.

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Bridgeport will square off against Magnolia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, they and Buckeye Trail will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Tuscarawas Central Catholic will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
