Flag Football Game Preview: Sunrise Mountain Mustangs vs. Willow Canyon Wildcats

The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs will take on the Willow Canyon Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Willow Canyon took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sunrise Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Sunrise Mountain took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 76-0 win over Sierra Linda. The Mustangs pushed the score to 56-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had no chance of recovering from.

Ingrid Sandoval had a dynamite game, throwing for 149 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing. Ana Tamo got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Sunrise Mountain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off seven passes before the game was over. Kaylee Pruetz led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself. Tamo got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Willow Canyon's offense. They took a 9-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain Pointe on Thursday.

Willow Canyon dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sunrise Mountain, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
