Columbia Central lost to Columbia Academy back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Lions came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jack Beck, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. Another player making a difference was Matthew Thomas, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one RBI.

Columbia Central's record now sits at 11-5. As for Columbia Academy, they moved to 14-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 14-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia Central will venture away from home to challenge Lincoln County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Columbia Academy, they will face off against University School of Nashville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
