Basketball Recap: Gig Harbor Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

After losing to Mount Tahoma the last time they met, Gig Harbor decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gig Harbor Tides came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mount Tahoma T-Birds on Wednesday, sneaking past 65-63.

Gig Harbor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Mount Tahoma, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gig Harbor will head out to face off against Timberline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timberline has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three games. As for Mount Tahoma, they will challenge Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount Tahoma knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lakes likes a good challenge.
