Mountain Heritage is a perfect 10-0 against Avery County since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will host the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mountain Heritage is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Draughn on Monday. They lost 9-1 to the Wildcats.

Freedom hit Avery County with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings came up short against the Patriots, falling 11-1.

Mountain Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Avery County, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
