Basketball Game Preview: Keytesville Tigers vs. Hale Cardinals

Keytesville is 1-9 against Hale since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Keytesville Tigers will jump right back in to play the Hale Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Monday. Keytesville was beaten by Higbee 88-34. While losing is never fun, Keytesville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while Higbee is ranked 201st).

Kinley Dowell was Keytesville's leading scorer, having posted 13 points. Kiera Shannon held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Hale played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 45-17 loss at the hands of Meadville. The Cardinals were down 37-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Hale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Keytesville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Keytesville suffered a grim 59-34 defeat to Hale in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Keytesville was down 33-7.
