Baseball Recap: Pecos Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Pecos challenged Santa Rosa on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Lions, falling 28-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 15-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Pecos' defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Santa Rosa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Pecos will welcome Oak Grove Classical Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Owls at the right time seeing as the Owls are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Santa Rosa, they will challenge Logan at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Longhorns will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
