The School of the Woods Wildcats suffered their biggest loss since November 11, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a tough 34-8 defeat at the hands of Cornerstone Christian Academy. School of the Woods has struggled against Cornerstone Christian Academy recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
School of the Woods got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Savannah Phan and
Maria Romero, who each put up three points. Romero also led the team in rebounds with five.
School of the Woods' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. School of the Woods won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Annapolis Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Annapolis Christian Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Tribe W at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Tribe W comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
