Soccer Game Preview: Lennox Academy vs. California Academy of Math & Science

Lennox Academy and California Academy of Math & Science are an even 4-4-2 against one another since February of 2017, but likely not for long. The Lennox Academy Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lennox Academy took on New Roads on Thursday. Neither Lennox Academy nor New Roads could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Panthers' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, California Academy of Math & Science made sure to put some goals up on the board against Vistamar on Monday. They never let the Vikings onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. The Coyotes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by three goals or more this season.

Lennox Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 5-2-1. As for California Academy of Math & Science, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3-1.

Lennox Academy came up short against California Academy of Math & Science in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Lennox Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
