Recap: Brentwood Bruins vs. Franklin Admirals
The Brentwood Bruins had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-52 win over Franklin. Given Brentwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Franklin is ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ella Ryan, who scored 31 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for 15 straight games. Ava Jarrett was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Brentwood's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Franklin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brentwood will take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses. As for Franklin, they will be playing at home against Nolensville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
