Volleyball Game Preview: Reading Memorial Rockets vs. Woburn Memorial Tanners

Reading Memorial is 2-8 against Woburn Memorial since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Rockets will venture away from home to take on the Tanners at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Reading Memorial came up short against Longmeadow on Saturday, falling 3-0.

While Reading Memorial was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Longmeadow's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Woburn Memorial came up short against Marblehead on Friday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-11, 21-25, 25-18, 25-11.

Reading Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Woburn Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Reading Memorial came out on top in a nail-biter against Woburn Memorial when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
