Volleyball Recap: Howell Central Takes a Loss

Howell Central managed to slip by Eureka the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans came up short against the Wildcats on Monday, falling 3-0. The Spartans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

While Howell Central ultimately came up short, they really made Eureka work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 25-15.

Eureka found their leader in sophomore Elise Parker, who had 11 digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Parker.

Howell Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Eureka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Howell Central will challenge Howell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eureka, they will take on St. Pius X at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
