Basketball Recap: Stuttgart Comes Up Short

Stuttgart has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. Their2024 ended with a 60-44 defeat against the Jacksonville Titans on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Ricebirds came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Titans are ranked 135th).

Stuttgart's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Jacksonville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

When Stuttgart and Jacksonville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Stuttgart will try to stop Dumas' three-game winning streak when the meet at 2:00 p.m. on January 4th. Similarly, Jacksonville will square off against Mills University Studies and their nine-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
