Basketball Recap: Downsville Comes Up Short

Downsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Georgetown Bulldogs, falling 71-35. If the Demons were looking for revenge after losing 83-28 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Downsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Georgetown, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Downsville will face off against Dodson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Georgetown, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Claiborne Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
