It was a good run, but Upland unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 4-1 to the Chino Hills Huskies. The Highlanders/Scots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Upland's goal came courtesy of Drew Shoji, who's now up to ten this season.

Upland's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-2-1. As for Chino Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2-3.

Upland and Chino Hills should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Upland (ranked 41st) will meet Rancho Cucamonga (ranked 131st) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Upland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. Similarly, Chino Hills will face off against Los Osos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 418 places (40 vs. 458). Upland will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
