Middletown has gone 6-1 against Coventry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Islanders will head out to face off against the Oakers at 6:00 p.m. Middletown hasn't scored more than six points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Meanwhile, Coventry faced Woonsocket in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Oakers fell 36-28 to the Villa Novans. Despite 51 more yards than the Villa Novans, the Oakers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Although Coventry took the loss, they still got scores from Wyatt Cardarelli, Luke Mullen, LJ Stembridge, and Camren Jones.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Coventry, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-5.

Middletown took their victory against Coventry in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 32-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Islanders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
